BECOME PART OF MY ART PROJECT
Dear all!
Currently i'm looking for the models for my ongoing project.
Vulnerability is a key concept in my work. Exploring themes of embodiment and emotion, I place the model in a vulnerable position - posing in front of camera can brings discomfort, raising questions about how one is perceived by the photographer, how they imagine themselves in the image, and how they will be seen by the viewer.
At the same time, I, as the author, am equally vulnerable. I navigate the expectations of both the model and the future audience - whether they are casual observers, experienced peers, art critics, or figures within the art market. My artistic voice is often under external pressure, influenced by these dynamics.
We live in an era of mass visual reproduction, where the distinction between art and ordinary imagery is becoming increasingly blurred. The overwhelming flow of digital content, social media, and independent media outlets creates a constant information noise, making it harder for individuals to truly hear themselves, to recognise their own state of being, and to understand where they want to go.
This project is both a photographic and psychological exploration. I study how a person changes within the framework of a photoshoot - how their perception of themselves evolves not only during the session but also after seeing the final images. To deepen this exploration, I invite my models to reflect on their experience - this may take the form of personal notes about their state of mind before the shoot, their sensations during the process, and their reaction to the final photographs. These reflections, combined with the images, create a layered narrative of self-perception, transformation, and vulnerability.
My method is based on observation rather than direction. I minimise intervention, allowing the subject’s body language and movement to unfold naturally, capturing moments that reveal something deeper than a staged pose.
The final result of this project will be a photobook, where images and text intertwine to provide an intimate and immersive experience. This book is not just a collection of photographs; it is a document of presence, an attempt to slow down in a world oversaturated with fleeting images.
The impact on the viewer remains an open question - one that I am still exploring. I do not seek to impose a particular interpretation but rather to create a space where the audience can engage with the images on their own terms, reflecting on the act of seeing and being seen.
If you are interested - please get in touch. I would love to shoot with you.
